The Randall University Lady Saints Volleyball team is set to compete in the Southwest Regional Championship today (November 7th) at 1:00 PM, in Alrington, Texas, facing off against #2-ranked Arlington Baptist University in what promises to be a thrilling and hard-fought matchup.
The Lady Saints have battled their way to the title game with grit, determination, and teamwork, embodying the spirit that has defined their season. Head Coach Mike Freeman and Assistant Coach Katelyn Crosby have instilled resilience in their squad all year long, and that resilience will be put to the test this afternoon as they fight for a trip to the national tournament.
As the team prepared for the championship, the Southwest Region awards were announced—and Randall dominated the honors. Kimberly Phelps, Kylie Thompson, and Addyson Day each earned All-Region First Team selections, highlighting their consistent impact and leadership on the court. Alana Hutchins and Jordan Hardesty were also recognized, earning spots on the All-Region Second Team for their outstanding performances throughout the season.
Perhaps the biggest highlight came from freshman standout Ella Seay, who not only earned a spot on the All-Region First Team but was also named the 2025 Southwest Region Most Valuable Player—a remarkable achievement for her first collegiate season.
The Lady Saints enter today's matchup with confidence and momentum, ready to leave everything on the court. With a championship on the line and a national tournament berth within reach, Randall is poised to make this a very memorable match.
