Saints Beat Defending Southwest Region Champs

Last Friday, the Randall University hosted Arlington Baptist University and Oklahoma Wesleyan University. The Saints played exceptionally well against the defending southwest region champs, Arlington Baptist. The Saints were on their "A" game during the first two sets, winning by a combined 24 points. Set three was a nail biter as Arlington came away with the 26-28 win. However, the Saints stuck with the original plan and won the fourth set 25-17, giving them the overall win 3-1.

Everybody on the Saints had a strong performance. Andi Fudge led the team with 14 kills, followed by Lauren Hogan with 10. Priscilla Crowell and Mikayla Stewart both notched a combined 28 digs. Kinzee Goodno also dominated on the net with four blocks.

The Saints played their next game at 6:00 PM against Oklahoma Wesleyan University. This was the third matchup between these two teams this season. The Saints started strong by stealing the first set with a score of 25-22. The second set was a bit of a different story after OKWU got hot and won 16-25. The Saints ended up losing the next two sets by a combined 17 points and lost the overall match 1-3.

Teagan Hamilton and Andi Fudge both finished with eight kills. Mikayla Stewart also led the team in digs with nine. The Saints play this Thursday again at Southwestern Adventist. Stay tuned for more info.
