Moore, OK: The Randall Saints expected a fight as they played the Champion Christian Tigers, their first meeting of the season.
The Saints won the first two quarters by a combined nine points. Fortunately, they were able to hold their lead throughout the rest of the game and come out on top 70-68. The Saints won their third straight game and improved to 6-8 on the season.
Savannah Been scored a game-high 23 points (6-of-14 shooting) to go with four assists and four steals.
After making two 3-pointers all of Tuesday night, the Saints drained a total of nine last night, shooting 45% from behind the ark. Junior Mikayla Emarthle once again had another double-double after scoring 20 points and grabbing 13 rebounds. Freshman point-guard Nakia Harjo scored 14 points and almost earned a triple-double after getting seven assists and eight rebounds.
The Saints shot 46% from the field and 65% from the free-throw line, ultimately helping them to victory. The Tigers only shot 42% from the field, 20% from the ark, and 45.5% from the free-throw line.
