Men's Basketball Settles in After Slow Start to Region Play

The Randall University Saints wasted no time diving into Southwest Region competition, opening league play with a grueling three games in six days. After dropping the first two contests—one to Champion Christian and another to No. 10 Southwestern Adventist—the Saints regrouped and closed the week with a strong 75–66 win over College of Biblical Studies–Houston, finishing the stretch 1–2.

Despite the slow start, the week showcased surging individual performances and signs the Saints are beginning to find their rhythm.

Game 1: Champion Christian 89, Randall 59 — Dec. 2

Randall struggled offensively in its regional opener, shooting just 31.7% from the field and 21.7% from three. Blestin Miller led the Saints with 19 points on 5-of-11 shooting, while Cameron Hainrihar added 8 points and 9 rebounds.

Forward Carson Thomas contributed 13 points, but Champion Christian's balanced scoring and interior presence proved too much as the visitors pulled away late.

Game 2: #10 Southwestern Adventist 86, Randall 78 — Dec. 4

Against a nationally ranked opponent, Randall responded with one of its most efficient offensive showings, shooting 54.2% from the floor. The Saints cut a 14-point deficit to a single possession late in the second half, but big perimeter shooting from Southwestern Adventist sealed the game.

Kainan Ryan rebounded in a big way with 20 points, while Blestin Miller tallied 16 points and 5 assists.

Carson Thomas delivered a breakout performance with 17 points and 7 boards, and Cameron Hainrihar added 10 points and 5 rebounds.

The effort showed the Saints' potential—and foreshadowed what came next.

Game 3: Randall 75, College of Biblical Studies–Houston 66 — Dec. 6

Carson Thomas nearly matched him with 17 points and 11 rebounds, while Cameron Hainrihar finished with 9 points and strong two-way play.
